(KIKA) - NEWARK - C'è anche un po' d'Italia agli MTV Video Music Awards, con il trionfo dei Maneskin. 

La rock band italiana è stata protagonista del palco del Prudential Center, cantando l'ultimo successo Honey (Are You Coming?). Durante l'esibizione Taylor Swift ha mandato un bacio al frontman Damiano. 

I Maneskin hanno vinto il premio Best Rock per il brano The Loneliest, contenuto nell'album Rush!

Ma è stata la notte di Taylor Swift, che ha portato a casa nove statuette per le categorie Artist of the Year, Album of the Year per Midnights, Show of the Summer, Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop e Best Visual Effects per Anti-Hero. A lei anche i premi tecnici Best Direction e Best Cinematography. 

Shakira ha ritirato il Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award e ha vinto anche nella categoria Best Collaboration per il duetto TQG con Karol G. Si è esibita con un medley delle sue canzoni più famose. 

Il rapper Diddy ha ricevuto invece il Global Icon Award, mentre Nicki Minaj, conduttrice per il secondo anno degli MTV Video Music Awards, ha vinto nella categoria Best Hip-Hop con Super Freaky Girl. 

Rema e Selena Gomez hanno trionfato per il Best Afrobeats per la collaborazione Calm Down. 

I Tomorrow x Together hanno ottenuto la statuetta PUSH Performance of The Year grazie al brano Sugar Rush Ride, mentre la categoria Best K-Pop è stata assegnata agli Stray Kids. 

Anitta ha ricevuto il premio Best Latin e ad Ice Spice va solo la statuetta Best New Artist, nonostante le quattro candidature ricevute. 

A Doja Cat, il premio Best Art Direction, e a Olivia Rodrigo la statuetta Best Editing per il singolo Vampire. SZA ha vinto nella categoria Best R&B, le Black Pink invece, hanno trionfato nelle categorie Group of the Year e Best Choreography. 

La statuetta Best Alternative è andata a Lana Del Rey e Jon Batiste per il duetto Candy Necklace, mentre quella Video for Good a Dove Cameron per il pezzo Breakfast. 

Jung Kook infine, ha vinto il premio Song of Summer grazie a Seven, con Latto.
