La regina della serata è stata Lady Gaga, che si è portata via quasi tutti i Moon Awards a cominciare dal premio per Artista dell'anno. La collaborazione con Ariana Grande per Rain on Me, poi, ha fatto guadagnare al duo, autore di una incredibile performance, il premio come miglior collaborazione e Canzone dell'Anno.
